T his is the last batch of hot peppers from the “old” Cover’s Corner Suburban Homestead garden. I love to dehydrate or freeze dry hot peppers and poweder them to make our own spicy mixes. I’m not a fan of what I call “burn my face off” heat, but I do love some kick in my meals. We are always careful as to how hot we cook because the girls are not super fond of a lot of heat.
If you or your family aren’t fans of super heat either, I recommend growing some Nadapeno’s also. These are heatless versions of a jalapeno. I will use a 50/50 mix of the heatless peppers and the traditional peppers to make some mixes, and even do this with my cowboy candy recipe, so that everyone can enjoy them.
Do you grow hot peppers? If you do, how do you use them after harvest?
Happy Gardening All!
