This morning I harvested 76 heads of garlic! Of the 76, I had 9 that were bad. So, I currently have 67 heads curing in the garage!
I’m super stoked about this year’s harvest! Garlic, carrots, and onions are crops that I’ve struggled the most with, so it means a lot to me to grow these successfully!
Of those 67, all but about 7-8 were the size of my palm.
One of my goals for 2023 is to work on my succession growing game. After I harvested the garlic, I sowed Great Lakes bush beans in the garlic beds. Succession growing is a great knowledge to have. Although I’ve been gardening most of my life, I always find myself learning new skills.
